'A soft, lightly minerally edge here to the fruit, which is gentle and yet shows a ripe, citrus-tinged character, with some aromatic white flower nuances alongside the zesty fruit. The fruit has a generous texture, but also shows some real grip and substance, with firm acidity. There is citrus fruit, and with that a twist of blanched almond, and that same white pepper freshness to it all. This is young, composed, but still a little taut and brooding, This has very fine potential.' 95 points, Chris Kissack, The Wine Doctor, February 2015.
'Florent Baumard is one of the world’s best winemakers, and you probably don’t know him. That’s because he produces Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley, an all-too-often overlooked region. Baumard produces a range of dry and sweet wines, topped by his Quarts de Chaume. And perhaps the best part of Baumard’s new wines is that they are now all under screw cap. Bravo to Florent Baumard for making this decision based on quality, not marketing.' James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, March 2007
