From 150 yo bush vines Grenache in the Angaston Foothills. 100% whole-bunch with gentle foot-treading over several weeks then pressed into large oak barrels and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Barossa’s answer to Pinot - all perfume and finesse. Awesome.
'"The JC’s Own" is Jaysen Collins’ "project wines" that stem from his very good work at the bloody good Massena winery in the Barossa Valley. I guess here, JC’s Own allows him some additional flexibility in winemaking style. Satisfying his own interests, so to speak.
