Made from 100% Merlot planted on Garonne gravels over blue clay in Macau en Medoc close to Margaux. Blackberries, plum and dates combine with leather and cedar on the palate, with fine-boned tannins supporting notes of chocolate and cafè latte. Smooth and refined, long and complex. with 12 months ageing in French oak barrels (no more than 20% new) adding depth, richness and finesse to this fine Médoc.
This tiny 1.6 ha vineyard is planted to 100% Merlot on Garonne gravels over blue clay which is especially well suited to Merlot. The vineyard is managed according to environmental standard HVE 3 (2021) and yields are kept low resulting in very good concentration and very limited production.
